This is a soft, very subtle makeup look that enhances the face’s natural features with gentle tones. Depending on the event and the person, we will adapt the makeup based on these two factors to create a fully personalised look. When we talk about natural makeup, we usually use fairly neutral, understated colours; however, it is true that some people like natural makeup with darker tones. The makeup is fully personalised, and in this case we also correct any imperfections if the client wishes.
DAY MAKEUP
The aim is a makeup look that enhances the beauty of the face without giving the impression of heavily made-up skin, as this type of makeup is usually more natural. The idea is for the makeup to go unnoticed, while the face looks better and fresher. To achieve this, we will choose a suitable foundation—either with more coverage or more natural—depending on the skin type, as many factors come into play such as blemishes, redness, etc. As for eyeshadow colours, they are usually lighter, neutral tones—overall, a natural makeup look.
Evening makeup
More intense tones are used. It is like day makeup, but more defined and elaborate. Shimmer is allowed in this makeup, and as with the previous one, it enhances facial features and can include darker colours if desired. When we use products for our brides, we use waterproof products to ensure that if the bride cries or sweats, nothing shifts, and of course that the makeup is 100% hypoallergenic. Theatrical makeup
We use more intense makeup than we normally do, and we also use much fuller-coverage products, as stage lights make makeup look much more natural, and the distance from the stage to the seats also plays a role. Shimmer and all kinds of colours are allowed, as everything will be based on the production we are doing. Above all, we will use special products for theatre makeup and character makeup, as well as very long-lasting, resistant makeup, since it is not always possible to touch up during the performance.
Fantasy Makeup
It is usually themed—the complete opposite of beauty makeup and not as common.
This type of makeup is usually done for Carnival, Halloween, or another event. We use everything from water-based paints—like “watercolours” but for face and body—to create fantasy looks, artificial flesh to create wounds and cuts, and finally latex, which we can even use to create ageing effects on the skin.
We tend to use this type of makeup with artificial flesh more for Halloween, or rather for short films. We have all the necessary, high-quality materials to do it.
